Last April, 31,721 pilgrims took the Compostela in the Pilgrim’s Welcome Office, compared  with 22,068 last year 2018. More women than men: 16,512 (52.05%) women and 15,209 (47.95%) men. Of these pilgrims 30,007 (94.60%) walked the Camino on foot; 1,540 (4.85%) by bicycle; 121 (0.38%) on horseback; and 53 (0.17%) in a wheelchair.

The main nationality was Spanish with 7,794 (35.32%) and the foreigners were: 14,274 (64.68%) with Germany at the top with 2,510 (17.58%) then Portugal 2,127 (14.90%), Italy 1,322 (9.26%), United States 975 (6.83%), Ireland 918 (6.43%), United Kingdom 664 (4.65%), France 565 (3.96%), Korea 420 (2.94%)…
